Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Sertuin Events collects, why, who we share it with and the choices you have. It applies to sertuinevents.com and to the conversations and bookings that start there.

Who we are

Sertuin Events is the trade name of SERTUIN SRL (RNC 132-19965-2), an event planning company based in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. We decide how your information is used. You can reach us at info@sertuinevents.com.

What we collect

• When you send a form (contact, quote request, proposal, elopement, gender reveal or corporate event): your name, email, phone or WhatsApp number and the details you give us about your event, such as the date, number of guests, location, services and budget, and your message.
• When you contact us directly by WhatsApp, Messenger, email or phone: the information in those messages.
• When you book: the details needed to prepare your quote and agreement, which can include your full name, contact details, ID or passport number, event details and payment records. Payments are processed by PayPal or another payment method we agree with you; we do not receive or store your card details.
• When you share your experience: your names, email, phone, the service you booked, your testimonial and any photo you upload.
• When you browse the site: with your permission, Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies (see our Cookie Policy). We also use Ahrefs Analytics, which measures visits without cookies.

Why we use it

• To answer your questions and prepare quotes (steps you ask for before a contract).
• To plan and deliver your event, and to manage payments and our agreement with you (performance of a contract).
• To keep records required by Dominican tax and commercial law (legal obligation).
• To publish your testimonial and photo, only if you sent them to us for that purpose (consent). You can ask us to remove them at any time.
• To measure visits and our advertising, only with your consent (cookies).
• To keep the site and our forms secure and free of spam (legitimate interest).

We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

We share only what each provider needs to do its job:

• Netlify hosts the website and receives form submissions.
• Google provides our email (Gmail) and, with your consent, Google Analytics and Google Ads.
• Google Firebase stores the quotes and agreements our staff prepare.
• PayPal processes deposits and payments.
• Vimeo plays the videos on our pages, set not to track you.
• Ahrefs measures visits without cookies.
• Event suppliers, such as venues, hotels, transport, photographers and musicians, receive the details needed to deliver your event.
• Authorities, when the law requires it.

Some of these providers are in the United States or other countries. Where the law requires it, they protect your information with safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: up to 24 months after our last contact.
• Bookings, agreements and payment records: for as long as Dominican tax and commercial law requires.
• Testimonials: until you ask us to remove them.
• Your cookie choice: in your browser, until you change it or clear your browser data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including the European Union, the United Kingdom, Brazil and the Dominican Republic), you can ask us to:

• see the personal information we hold about you and get a copy;
• correct it, or delete it;
• limit or object to how we use it;
• withdraw a consent you gave, at any time, without affecting what we did before.

Write to info@sertuinevents.com. We will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your data protection authority.

Security

We use providers with strong security, restrict access to the staff who need it, and send information over encrypted connections. No system is completely secure, so please do not send us card numbers by form or message.

Children

Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date above. Important changes will be highlighted on this page.
